Hannah Trueblood is a shining example of what one individual can do when they have commitment and passion. With experience in various roles within the community, Hannah has shown herself to be an unwavering leader dedicated to making Valparaiso better for everyone.
She has been a licensed real estate broker for the past six years and has grown her reputation of being honest, ethical, highly skilled in contracts and negotiation, and empathetic.
Hannah has been actively involved in politics since 2008, when she volunteered for Organizing For America and helped in efforts to raise awareness of the government. She also served on the Porter County Tax Board of Appeals in 2022.
Hannah grew up in Valparaiso, in the Hilltop neighborhood. At eight years old, she told her mom she wanted to help kids who didn't have a home.
This began a lifetime of community service. Hannah has been committed to advocacy for nearly two decades, spanning from fundraising for The Caring Place - Porter County's domestic abuse shelter, organizing park cleanups, collecting donations for refugees, and volunteering for the overnight warming shelter, to name a few. As an active member of the National Organization for Women (NOW), she advocates for LGBTQ+ equality, equal pay for equal work, and fair treatment for all people.
She will further those efforts when elected as the first female mayor of Valparaiso!
Hannah is a woman with many hobbies, and she makes sure to spend time enjoying them every day. From fitness to exploring the world around her, there's no shortage of activities to keep her busy!
She also enjoys reading personal development books, hiking at the Indiana Dunes, and working out at the local YMCA. Above all else, she cherishes spending time with her two children, Julianna and Guy, and her fiancé Joe, playing games, cooking homemade meals, visiting the Valparaiso library, planning cross-country road trips, and creating other lasting memories.
